We’re looking for an intern with solid shooting and editing skills to work on the Viceland video blog. You must be able to film under pressure and deliver edits quickly and efficiently. You will have access to a laptop complete with Final Cut, a camera kit (P2) and an opportunity to become a permanent member of the Viceland or VBS Team, which will be sweet because maybe you’ll get to make something like this, or this, or this. The term ‘Intern’ is a clever way to sidestep paying people the minimum wage. If i was a potential employee, I may work for free, but I would charge a hire free for the use of my kit (laptop, camera, consumables etc).

No pay no way. When you’re getting £500 at Uni to do a 30 sec wedding video and lots of offers to get involved with the next big thing, making business profiles for the net. Vice will have to shed its American Scrooge image to get even the middle grade to work as interns. All that’s left is the no hopers and that sums up the quality at Vice.

Vice is a little rich boy’s club, that is why they don’t pay people. The interns are expected to have their own equipment cos that covers up their lack of talent. Hence their snobbishness over someone who has talent getting the most out of WMV, only people with real talent can do that.
