At Halloween, a time when we celebrate murder and monsters, it’s important to remember the real murderers and monsters who fuel our collective mortal paranoia. People like the gangsters of Mexico City, a town where a cop is killed almost every day and the bodies are left as bait for the media and as a warning to the public. Alarma! is a magazine which chronicles the violence. We made a film about it, and now we’re screening it at the Old Blue Last this Sunday at 4 PM.
This is Nicole’s shebang again (remember Nicole?). Go say hello. She likes melancholy electronic music and partying with gay guys.

The first time I saw a copy of “Alarma!”, I was waiting for the 6 at Astor place, and that little treats shop on the platform had it full frontal next to the NYT. Opened that shit and first page had the dead body of a preggers chick eaten by some some of wild animal. It was a full on spread as well. Quality.
