Uhp, you caught us. We saw this "indie magazine" on one of our many visits to Montreal from New York. Despite it looking like something a 12-year-old put together in photoshop, we were so taken by its chosen theme (We were like "Mexico… now there’s a thought") that we decided to lift it wholesale for ourselves. For the next four weeks we scrambled liked monkeys on crank to assemble an entire Vice Mexico staff from scratch (including publisher) while simultaneously coming up with enough articles to fill an issue in time for the May 1 print deadline. Somehow we pulled the whole thing off. It was one of the fastest and sneakiest operations in the history of known publishing, and we were sure we were going to get away with it, but then you busted us and now no one will ever read our magazine again. Fuck.
Oh yeah, and we also filmed a bunch of shit for VBS at the same time.
