I played last night at Mitzi`s Sister it was an open stage hosted by Derek Downham it was a good night!!!! I premiered 2 new songs off of a future project called “Killer Instinct” 1) Something To Believe In 2)”Knock Knock Knocking On Your Front Door
Me and my ex Chris had a little discussion about liking boys and I admitted I like boys and boys like me, that is why I walk a mile and a half almost every day!!!! Women don`t like me, but the host liked me and he is a good musician!!!! So did a few other boys who complemented me on my set!!!! We also discussed Eric Clapton because there was a good guitarist there that could not sing!!!! Chris said that was O.K. because Eric Clapton cannie sing!!!! I reminded him of the song “Layla”, he said that was by “Derek and the Dominoes”. I responded I think Eric Clapton was in that band!!!!

I went outside to the patio to smoke and I overheard some stupid Canadian woman talking about Scotland. She said, “All I know about Scotland is bagpipes!!!!”
I was offended so I went over and advised her I was from Glasgow and there is more to Scotland than bagpipes!!!! I will not go into my politically correct ex-boyfriend lecturing me on how to behave, and what example I gave as an insult in French culture!!!!
Stay tuned I`m playing October 3rd, 2007 with new host I don`t know his name, but he wears a cowboy hat!!!!

“Mind Went Blank But I Got Through The Performance Anyway!!!!”

Overview:

Tonite was a peaceful event I performed “Mother- Interstellar Mix” and “Should Have Seen Her Saturday”. I think it is because the looming verdict on my eviction!!!! In addition I got a new laptop and I am trying to organize my computer!!!! I also managed to lose a pack of DK`S in the cab!!!!

I felt the emotion for my mummy as I sat across from my ex Christopher Andrew Tremblay. The stage was dark and at first I actually couldnie see the fret board. I laughed a bit I wasnie gonna perform the song, but for the crowd it was worth the wait!!!!

Should Have Seen Her Saturday:

I commented, “I’m a bit off my game!!!” Then proceeded with the song. Chris told me, “It is a hard song to execute with the timing, but my voice loosened up towards the end!!!!”

After Show:

The host(Yawd Sylvester) is nice and friendly and I don `t feel like a loser, because what fits my body best is atheltic style pants so I don`t have nerds harrass me about dress code!!!!

I forgot to mention yesterday one of the chicks playing who liked my music is the daughter of one the guys in April Wine. See website people who are artistic have a different way of thinking!!!!

They were actually touring North America I believe they started out in San Francisco. To me it was cool following them as they had an upbeat Polynesian Surfer Style Music and me well check out the song list below. I should let you know though you get a different perspective of Amanda Saint on stage. I always do stripped down versions of the songs I play, and live is always fun!!!! I had never played the song before at the end I strayed a little bit from the original, however the lyrics were bang on. I should mention what I find funny about this song is in the chorus I say “Never, Never, Never, Never” about 21 one times and I did it!!!! I should give you a little bit of personal insight into some of the background of this song. This is my drinking song it has a Yeah Ha!!!! Feel to it!!!! It’s about a boy named Johnny who hold `s up grocery store in Kentucky and accidentally shoots the clerk!!!!

“Memories of Bagpipes, Attitude, and Debt Collectors”

Overview:

Before I left for the Open Stage Review I had a call from Allied International, they have been harassing me now for 4 months now for a $200 CAD Rogers Cable Bill. I told the lady I forget her name I was broke and hung up. She called back left a message saying I was rude for hanging up. The time before they called 7 times in a row, to me it is a joke because I cannie afford cable so if I pay the bill how does it benefit me? Which brings me to the night at hand the “Cool Kids” came into the bar as I was playing “Sunshine” they usually come up to me and say hello, however since I chose to stick up for my homeland I received the cold shoulder as they are all followers and into peer pressure!!!! When I was a teenager I went to “Cawthra Park” it was a school of the arts ironically I was a drama major. Anyway some artists seem to think that they are “special” because they have a talent!!!! It always irritated me, you see I am not a follower and prefer when I perform to get feed back from not only musicians but also, non-musicians, as they have no egos when it comes to music. Don’t get me wrong the host Yawd Sylvester is a talented pianist and accompanied some the performers in there sets, I appreciate my talented peers. In my opinion this guy Sammy and his friends use fashion and attitude to compensate for there lack of talent!!!! I remember when I use to play open stage at Mackenzie’s Pub that his uncle Jeff I believe that organized it hogged the stage!!!! The owners I loved because they loved my music and would give me drinks on the house!!!! I even remember last Saint Patrick’s Day I stayed after I played a set at 4pm the crowd loved, his uncle’s friend said I could play after the hockey game and at 11pm I was still waiting so I left!!!! Sorry if I offended your one nite stand, but there is more to Scotland than bagpipes!!!! I prove it when I perform you 2nd rate wannabe rapper!!!!

I wanted to show the gentler side of Amanda Saint, wasn’t my best performance but I can out sing Sammy and his uncle Jeff any day of the week!!!! I can do many different genres of music and am not a fashion victim!!!!

Sunshine:

This is my idea of a pop song!!!! It` s upbeat showcases my voice and has a sunny feel to it!!!! Sammy walking by didn’t dampen my spirit!!!

After Show:

The hockey dudes complimented me of my set. They said I was different from the rest and had energy to my music!!!! Really nice guys no attitude winning record 8-4!!!! Looked at the back table and wondered why do these kids follow Sammy?

Who`s the angel at Airmiles who has a 23year old brother who is a wannbe musician? Sammy at Cadillac Lounge knows me and remember it is a SOCAN licensed venue and songwriter also gets 50 percent of song material performed. I know it would discredit Michael Serrentino`s reputation if he ripped off someone in the song writer`s union!!!!
