After countless hours in the studio, The Raveonettes premiered a track yesterday from their fourth LP, In & Out Of Control, on Pitchfork. “Suicide” represents the crossroads for both shoegaze and the 60s, reinforcing Tom Breihan’s claim that, “[Sune Rose Wagner and Sharin Foo] know exactly how to make their tingly, sinister Spector-sounding pop resonate exactly right.” This track boasts an amazing and energetic hook while also containing one of the darkest refrains. Fans have been waiting eagerly since The Raveonettes released their demos to them via Twitter and after they opened up their recording studio sessions. Be sure to catch them on their fall tour, which will be initiated by their Brooklyn, NY show.
