The final tally in Milan was 50 car accidents, one of which was fatal, 20 trams were blocked, one bus was completely destroyed, 200 trashcans and 1 car set alight. About 80 people ended up in hospital. In Naples, always more extreme, dozens of cars were set on fire, 2 cars were destroyed when a balcony full of jumping supporters collapsed on them, 2 people died (one of them fell from a moped he was riding with three friends) and 2 got shot. That's because often, when they don't have fireworks, Italians will resort to simply shooting their guns in the air.
The best death was by far a guy in Genoa who decided to take his boat out to sea, with his friends. He fell in the water and drowned. They found him the next morning, washed up on a beach, still rolled up in the Italian flag.
