Later on in the night some cops drove along to try and keep the peace. Right. Showing their usual respect for state authority, the Italian crowd started throwing beer bottles and glasses at them, shouting abuse and then rushing to the cars to rock them back and forth. What were they going to do? It was like 8 cops against 1 million euphoric people. Anyway, whilst a few cops were bottled up inside their cars, terrified to get out, some other cops up along the road were witnessing an entirely different treatment from the crowd around them.
