Politicians say the World Cup win will boost the Italian economy by about 1%. What they haven't mentioned is what it will do for the country's racial integration. America, England and France have had immigrants for ages. Italy, however, is not one to ask for poor and huddled masses. It generally produces them for others. Immigration to Italy is still relatively new. On the day of the match we heard stuff like, " I saw two chinese boys with an Italian flag! So nice of them to support us!", or, "Look at the Moroccans supporting Italy. That's sweet." Because no-one realises they were fucking BORN HERE! Our favorite quote of the day though, was, "Wait a second, Vieira and Henry aren't French, they're black. Where are they from?"
