We love these East Village tweakers who broadcast public-access TV shows from their mother’s living room in Alphabet City. They are the real New York, and the neighborhood would suck without them. Never go away, Crimson Bernie!Comments/Enlarge |

I love the folks who think you can actually fill kids’ brains with a bunch of stuff about respecting differences and avoiding stereotypes, as if the second they’re out the door they aren’t playing basketballrappers and Santa-Jedis at Abu Ghraib.Comments/Enlarge |

This Saturday, in the presence of the photographer, we're finally opening our huge Peter Beste exhibition in Oslo. This will be a daytime opening, between 11AM and 4PM, and it will be the first time in history you'll be able to see the two projects True Norwegian Black Metal and Houston Rap Culture, together.
The opening will also coincide with the release of the third edition of the book True Norwegian Black Metal, and this will be your only surefire place to pick it up and get it signed by the photographer. There will be more surrounding this exhibition, so please check back here, or sign up for our newsletter.

Dj Er Du Dum Eller Hvad (DK) DØD (DK) Curated by Vice – New Show Opening In Stockholm
Hannah Modigh is one of our new favourite photographers in all of Sweden, and maybe the world. In 2008 she travelled to St. Charles, Virginia and came back with one of the best photo stories we saw all year. She lived and partied with poverty-stricken kids around the Appalachian mountains for two months, and we published her story in our Sundae Issue.
Now Hannah is becoming a big star, and we’re finally able to bring her exhibition to Stockholm and Färgfabriken.
There will be an opening party with the artist on Wednesday April 27, from 7PM. It’s going to be so great (drinks, music – both outdoors and indoors – and an abundance of beautiful photography), but you HAVE to be on the list to get in.
RSVP to osa@fargfabriken.se Or "Attend" the Facebook event:
http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=80542047310
If you miss the opening (which, granted, is a bad idea) you can still see the show during regular opening hours.
