On Sunday 26 July, the 1234 Festival returns to Shoreditch Park. Last year was such a mental teenage sex, jelly, and fireworks bonanza that this time “the man” has made them put a fence up around the park, which has limited the capacity to just 6,000 tickets. Easter rave for reborn Jesus zombie

Easter isn’t the sexiest of all the religious festivals. The eggs are cool, but other than Sufjan Stevens fans no-one over 14 actually wants or gets one. And as far as perks go, that’s it for Easter. It’s hardly Hanukkah’s eight days of gifts or Ramadan’s mega pre-date crash diet. Anyway, just as Norwich Union has swapped its saggy outmoded moniker for the hyper-global-fuck-fest-title of Aviva, Easter’s being rebranded (or reborn — perhaps a Jesus metaphor would have been better).
