Everyone loves Music Go Music, right? They are like a warm shot of fizzy summer pop perfection to help even the most morose motherfucker out of the winter lull and back to vague contentedness at the very least. Someone from their record company sent us a link to a video of them playing a song. Apparently they’ve sent us this link before they sent it anywhere else, so if you click on you’ll be seeing said video before anyone else ever. While you’re at it, have a look at another video of us having a word with the band right after their first ever UK performance a little while back. How many first evers can you pack in to one post, huh?

Viceland Video - Music Go Music’s debut London show

We went to see Music Go Music’s debut UK show at the ICA the other day and it was like having a wedding inside a cake made of fireworks. Basically, they’re the best party band about – a trashy, mainstream, brilliant bunch of swooning disco kids pounding out the best coming-out songs since P Diddy sampled Diana Ross and gave Ma$e a handjob at the Source Awards. We were so taken with Music Go Music’s show, we took them to our pub the day after to say hello properly, on camera
Dear Music, please make me a legend
Dear Music,
Please can you make it possible for me to be in Music Go Music? If you do, I will do all my French homework, comb my hair three times a day, and be nicer to my little sister. It is my dream to be in a wonderful blog version of Abba, who only play gigs on cruise liners and have an evolving line-up chosen through X Factor-style auditions. I want to have a name like Zeedon and straddle both 70s television and 80s sci-fi. They are the funnest band in the world and I would love to be able to play with them at the wedding parties and anniversaries of all of my family members, and watch my little cousin Frankie dance with my gran as I play the saxophone.
I hope this is within your remit.
All the best,
ADAM WHITE
Transparent - Music Go Music, Girls, Radiant Dragon
Hey Vice readers, this is what we’re listening to.
MUSIC GO MUSIC
In a better world Phil Spector would be producing Abba. He would stumble into the studio, tell Bjorn to go fuck himself and thrust a gun down Anni-Frid’s mouth until Agnetha hit the high-notes. The result would be something not a million miles away from ‘Light of Love’ by LA trio Music Go Music. The mysterious Gala Bell’s organic voice is what binds the synth pop with the dancefloor and ends up producing some futro-disco that most A&Rs are freaking out about. They have three singles out on Secretly Canadian which traverse the epic to the ELO.
