This guy’s so old he can remember a time before music got interesting. Those kids are so young, they’ll probably never know music ever was interesting. And on that note, here are some misanthropic reviews.

Vice Presents: Mariachi El Bronx
Vice Presents returns on August 22nd, what do you think I should wear? Shall I do the smart guy buttoned-up, mid-twenties thing? Should I pull a slack, Mexican skater, baseball hat move? Or go for the whole Mariachi shebang everyone’s busting these days? Clearly, that’s the best option you doughnut, because on August 22nd, the world’s best punk band not called Fucked Up, The Bronx, will be performing TWO sets. That’s at least one more than you or I deserve. As well as The Bronx’s headline set, a traditional mix of blood and hope, (and the only UK one they’re playing outside of festivals this year), they’ll be taking the stage beforehand as Mariachi El Bronx. In case you didn’t hear, as well as recording third LP Bronx III the band have recorded a Mariachi record. In case you’re in a state of confusion about this somewhat bizarre move, it’s no novelty record. Click here for tickets. I’ll let you know about support acts tomorrow.
