The video for Black Lips‘ new single, “Drugs”, is a warm family film, full of love and laughs. After you’ve watched it, you should really track down the split seven-inch released on Vice Records on August 2. The other side is a cover of the band’s last single, “I’ll Be With You”, by Faris Badwan from the Horrors and Cherish Kaya (ex-Ipso Facto). Collectively they are called Lumina, and this is their first release.

The NME Awards 2009 was one big love-in
All journalists love to not enjoy award ceremonies because they think it makes them big-time 4real punk rockers. But they’re idiots who think that sex is playing into the hands of mattress companies. Last night was the 7,000th annual NME awards and if you like drugs and booze and music and models it was fun. The best bit was when everyone booed when Oasis won Best Band. HaHa.
