So, we did the first of our regular shows on Diesel:U:Music Radio on Monday, and considering our collective lack of any real experience in broadcasting live on air it was, by all accounts, a tour de brilliance of radio programming. We played a bunch of records that ran the gamut from OM to Integrity via Hellhammer and Villa Na, as well as a Live From The Old Blue Last session by itinerant lo-fi guys Lovvers. Oh, and Andrew Weatherall dropped by to talk about his new solo record, the late 80s drug revolution and the moment he chose to curtail his psychedelic experimentation. Um Tapa Na Cara de Deus - Diabolic Force
Since the Brazilian Issue is now ready to be brushed aside for a newer issue of Vice, this will be the final Brazil-themed A Fist in the Face of God post. There are too many bands to choose from (apologies to Muitlator, Vulcano etc) so I’m gonna go with a new-ish band covering what is, for me, one of thrash’s greatest moments.
