The blogs are going crazy about Kisses, the dreamy project from travel writer and Princeton frontman Jesse Kivel. But without labouring the point, what the fuck is it with ripping off the Swedes at the moment? Is it just because they’re so genial, they verge on being pussies? Jesse from Kisses sent us over a mixtape which you can listen to below, complete with (minimal) liner notes, plus the Kisses track “Bermuda”.

LEARN TO LOVE DEN HAAN
If life wasn’t a boring mess of alarm clocks and paperwork, Den Haan would be huge. The best Scottish band alive today cover Gary Glitter on stage, drink only straight vodka, and have a name that means “the Cock”. Even above all of that though, they write incredibly catchy electronic disco that should destroy arenas. Unfortunately, most people are rubbish, they think La Roux is cutting edge, they’re going to vote a Tory government in “for a change” and they would probably be offended by the whole Gary Glitter thing. Dear Music, please make me a legend
Dear Music,
Please can you make it possible for me to be in Music Go Music? If you do, I will do all my French homework, comb my hair three times a day, and be nicer to my little sister. It is my dream to be in a wonderful blog version of Abba, who only play gigs on cruise liners and have an evolving line-up chosen through X Factor-style auditions. I want to have a name like Zeedon and straddle both 70s television and 80s sci-fi. They are the funnest band in the world and I would love to be able to play with them at the wedding parties and anniversaries of all of my family members, and watch my little cousin Frankie dance with my gran as I play the saxophone.
I hope this is within your remit.
All the best,
ADAM WHITE
Bottin’s Horror Disco
William Bottin is one of the finest purveyors of electronic disco around at the moment. His tracks have a clear Italo influence, and he’s actually Italian, which probably means he has more of a right or something. Even Andy Bell from Erasure likes him! We caught up with him for a quick chat via the magic of Gmail. Read more »
Free MP3 - Alexander Robotnick
Despite making electronic music for longer than most people reading this will have been breathing (and producing one of the biggest tracks to ever be made by one person, on their own, in a room) Mr Maurizio Dami aka Alexander Robotnick still has a midas knack for knocking out disco gems of unadulterated genius-ness. Click on to listen to the title track from his latest LP Obsession For The Disco Freaks. We promise the quality of music is in no way a reflection of the old guy’s titling choices.
Homerton Strangler - Django Django
Last week’s post was kind of out of line with the level of nepotism I’d told you to expect from this column so here I am back on track again with a new song made by one of my best friends.
