tUnE - YaRdS is the work of one woman from Maryland, USA. Her joyous mish-mash of samples, vocals, and live instruments results in lo-fi pop which manages to be reminiscent of both El Guincho and The Unicorns.
She’s playing a show with Dirty Projectors in the UK this September, but hopefully more will be announced. I fully expect her music to be used to soundtrack some Juno-lite wacky American “indie” movie pretty soon, so make sure you see her before that occurs.
