S.C.U.M. launch their “SIGNAL” on Viceland

Last time I saw S.C.U.M. the lead singer was grinding his heel into the altar of an East End church. In fact, they only ever seem to play churches, which is cool because once the crowd get over their shame they start fighting between the pews. Now this handsome band of teenagers who’ve made a habit of deconsecrating Christ’s trendy Gothic spaces by chasing the Holy Spirit out the back with endless gusts of demon reverb have started moving around the planet to spit on more sites of emotional and cultural value. They’re recording a lot of songs about it, and letting Viceland hear them first.

The band are documenting their journey by releasing a collection called SIGNALS (which, happily is an anagram of “singles”, wait, no it isn’t, I think I missed the point.) The band are stopping in every city they pass to take studio time and record a new track specific to that location. Each one is going to be released as a digital download, and this is the first, “WARSAW”. It’s available to download soon, but until then, you can watch and listen here, exclusively. It’s fucking good.
