In a month which saw Joaquin Phoenix rapping about packing heat and Ronnie O’Sullivan ranting about getting Simon Cowell into snooker, it made me wish there were a few more troubled geniuses in indie. And then this Tom Vek album promo fell through the letterbox.

So we figured he was more than qualified to tell you what to like once a week. Take it away, Rodaidh … Read more »
Right now, it’s a toss up between Mavado and Busy Signal for who our favourite current dancehall artist is. Until Mavado’s new album, Mr Brooks: A Better Tomorrow, comes out next month, Busy just has his nose in front.
Watch the video for Busy’s prison lament, “Jail”, above and then check below for a recent interview we did with him over the phone. Read more »
Isn’t he supposed to have open sores on his face and a mongrel dog that’s dying of starvation whimpering into a half empty bowl of cider? He’s like if Urban Outfitters did a line called “Distressed Rancid.” More
Who is this, the Duke of Disco Dishrags? What an awesome shitpile of Stevie Nicks’s Goodwill garbage. More
