Vice: Come sei arrivata all’hardcore?

Eva Unnes(cantante):
Mio fratello era dentro il grind hardcore, quello pesante e politicizzato. G-Anx, Anticimex, Doom…

Non dovresti ascoltare i No Doubt e quella roba lì?

With Meaning”/“Destroy The Scriptures”.

sorry, but i think you're missing the point. most of them "hardcore" -artists are like, this is something, that's never seen before. but what? these new_school_newbies are way too far away from the real hardcore. and what comes to that "hardcore", i've never seen it since beatles died. is hardcore about killing? crimes? anyone? YUP.so i thought. drugs are still controlling the world, so what can you do? there aint no lord, if jesus passes. you are made of FALE and SUK!!

"anyone angry enough to be into hardcore past age 21 needs fucking help. that shit is hilariously lame."

i'm curious as to your age. i'm also curious as to your knowledge of, and participation within, any punk/hardcore scene. i defy you to name more than 5 hardcore/punk bands who've put out records in the past year. i'd wager that you don't know shit about music that isn't fawned over in such bullshit publications as spin and fader. yes, i would bet that when i say "hardcore," you think "madball." also, do you mean to say that after the first years of only the second decade of an individual's life, one is expected to become complacent, if not apathetic? so what, are you like always happy, bobbing your balloon head to jam band records? guess what? there's still shit in this world for responsible, thoughtful, and compassionate adults to get pissed off about; and i'm not talking about issues of "keeping the edge," "staying true," or "defending the scene."

"i remember kicking little punk rocker's asses after football games. hardcore my ass."

who the fuck cares about what a jock asshole has to say about punk or hardcore? i can only hope that you try to pull more macho bullshit on some little crustie in the future and get fucking cut in the stomach with his switchblade.

The problem with the post cold war, post 9-11, age of Western decline is that all the marginalized 'outsider' groups who don't identify with the norms that the editors of this magazine still think exist realize that there's more to worry about than not fitting in.

Lots of great comments here from the usual anti-hardcore music crowd. "Go start fires," "I play rugby," "get a job." I think I'd rather hang out with this somewhat corny band than any of you geniuses.

Nevermind that the book American Hardcore was flawed horribly in narration.

Why is the band featured in this articl relevant to hardcore at all? Man, I been playing hardcore music for ten years now. We done brought life to a small city of 100,000 people, and brought a scene to em, the same way it use to be... No one anywhere else takes notice.

Cause we weren't cool kids, a bunch of misfits. an ego maniac in front (me), a rock and roller looking bassist, a mohawked drummer, a drug addict guitar player that needed his mother to dress him still, and a nerdy middle class kid on the other guitar.

We got in fights, we caused a ruckas, and most importantly, we stuck up for all them kids that ever felt alienated. We deserve more respect then these fucking pussies.

Wow, I didn't plan on saying all that, but I'm drunk, and things happen

i don't think that this band is being recognized because it includes a female among its ranks. in all honesty, though, within any culture or scene dominated by men, the powerful, expert contribution of girl is something to be celebrated. anyway, i'd wager that most don't even know that a band called xmore than zerox exists, much less if it features female vocals.
