In federal prison, inmates can take pictures about once a month. The prison sets up these Third-World-looking backdrops, you get your crew together, shoot a roll, and make way for the next group. Since inmates get moved around so much in the feds (See "Diesel Therapy," V11N2), these photos are passed around like trading cards and they keep you in touch with the crew you left behind. Looking at these might make you feel like there?s an impending five-sided race war brewing in the feds, but apparently everyone is more or less cool with each other. If you don?t have a racial thing tying you together, you can always just find some guys who like the same music or committed the same felony as you. Photos gathered by Seth Ferranti
