This woman is a goddess when you’re tree planting in Kenora, BC, with 30 other dudes. Back in the city however, she looks like a vegan groupie for Faith No More who doesn’t speak English.

“Chongqing, sitting at the junction of the Yangtze and Jialing rivers, is home to more than 30 million people. It is not only one of the most crowded cities in the world but also the fastest growing.

Chongqing is like a microcosm of China. You can buy a 30-yuan cup of coffee in one of the expensive places on the marble boulevards in the shadows of the skyscrapers, or you can walk five minutes in another direction and buy a cup of noodles for three yuan in an old wooden traditional Chinese house.

In Chongqing, concrete housing projects rise up like mushrooms, bridges are built to the provinces, and an endless stream of backcountry migrants flows in.”
