Sarah Louise MacNeil: “The Glasgow Herald did a bad article about us, totally dissing Barra. They said we all drink underage. I suppose some of us do but not everybody. After the article came we nearly had the youth club taken off us because they thought we were all drinking.”

Danielle MacLeod: “I’ve lived here since I was a week old. It’s a brilliant place to live. I’m going to bring my kids up here. There’s not really enough to do but it’s not like there’s was a lot to do in the start and they took it away.”

Jordan Page: “I’m going to sea to join the Merchant Navy. My Gen (grandfather) did that. In the MN there’s lots of different jobs to do. If you’re a deck officer you can stand on the deck and boss everybody about.”
