WHITE MAGIC T-SHIRT
I designed this. I wrote “White Magic” and then it just kept getting more and more complicated. I just got all into drawing it. It was inspired by a Navajo weaving I saw in a book.

MOROCCAN KIF PIPE
Kif is Moroccan pot mixed with tobacco. I got this pipe in Tangier for like 50 cents. We went to the Rif Mountains where kif grows wild. I watched this guy prepare it, like chop it up on a board with a huge knife, and then we smoked it with him. It was such an amazing experience. I was only in Morocco for eight days but I saw so much stuff it seemed like three months.

VINTAGE CLOAK
I got this in Brighton, England. They have cool old shops everywhere there, right on the sea. I thought it was the creepiest cloak I had ever seen. I wore it for Halloween this year.

SILVER CHIME NECKLACE
I don’t know what this is called, but it oscillates in this perfect, slow way and makes these amazing fairy bell noises. It sounds better than it looks.

THREE-WEEK-OLD KITTEN
We just rescued her a few days ago. It was very dramatic. I heard her crying outside in one of our neighbors’ yards, so I got them to let me back there. She was hiding and I had to coax her out. She was so scared. It was intense. |
