Welcome to the 2008 Vice Photo Show. It’s either our 6th or 7th annual show. No one can remember for sure. But we do know that Vice has been publishing a photo issue every summer since 2001, always including sensitive, touching, and moving works by our favorite rag-tag regulars such as Terry Richardson, Ryan McGinley, Richard Kern, Roe Ethridge, Patrick O’Dell, Jerry Hsu, Tim Barber, Jaimie Warren, and many, many more. In 2007, we released The Vice Photo Book, a mammoth collection of the best photos in the magazine since its foundation in 1994. The point here is that we know good photography from a hole in the ground.

Right now we are writing this press release to tell you specifically about this year’s show, which we are proud to present in a one-month-only gallery that we built with our own two hands. We’re going to fill the space up with desks and chairs after the show, so this will be your only chance to walk around in it and look at art.

This year’s show includes work by:

Jonathan Black / Rennie Ellis / Roe Ethridge / Naomi Fisher / Dana Goldstein / Jerry Hsu Richard Kern / Maggie Lee / David Markey & Jordan Schwartz / Jens Mollenvanger Patrick O’Dell / Aaron Rose / Chris Shonting / Luke Stephenson / Nick Zinner & Aliya Naumoff
And also Riddles, a special section curated by Tim Barber

Artist prints are for sale—some of them VERY affordable—and we also have a little Vice boutique (or, as they say in places like Tokyo, “select shop”) set up in the corner where you can buy all of our books, DVDs, CDs, and vinyl at a wacky-insane discount. Photo Issues are also available, on the house.
