Country: Japan Studying: Fine Art at London Metropolitan University
Vice: Your name sounds a bit like Tomohawk, my all-time favourite weapon. How are you liking university in the UK?
Tomoko: I like my teachers and the students, but I’m not happy with my course. I want to concentrate on photography. I also miss my family and my dog but the music here makes up for that. I love Placebo. I bought their CD in 1996 and I saw them at the Brixton Academy when I was 16.

Name: Claudia Gambal Age: 23
Country: Italy Studying: MA in Media Curating at LCC
Vice: Why come to dirty old London after beautiful Italy?
Claudia: I used to live in Rome. It was nice but boring. Now I live in Camden and it is more interesting. I live with my boyfriend and lots of Italians all together in a small flat. It is always crazy and there is always something going on but I would like to move to Old Street. I go to many parties there. I am scared that it might be dangerous to live there, though.

Bummer. So what’s next after the whole Brighton let-down?
I have been invited to come back to UCL as a teacher.
