I’m starting to think that the septum ring and the surface piercings and the connector chains and the filthy camo shirt with Discharge patches holding together the shoulder are all pretty integral to the overall shaved-headed look. When you take them away you just sort of look like you’re on your way home from concentration camp.
You know when you go home to visit your parents and they get boring around ten, so you go out to see what your old high school buddies are doing these days and the party is so weird and fun you catch yourself thinking, “Wait a minute. Why the fuck did I ever leave this town?”
You might think it’d be relaxing to throw in the appearance towel and dress like all the teenage mothers in your apartment building, but if you knew just how much time, energy, and misguided brand loyalty went into looking that shitty, you’d be grateful for your decent taste.
