Elderly at heart

assisi-old-woman

I’ve always had a thing for all things retro and I’m particularly stuck in the 30s to 50s when it comes to clothes. With winter still on full blast I have no choice other than to swap my high-heeled pumps for some flat lace-ups which i wear with a pair of thick tights and a coat that just about covers my knees. Complete with a beret, I look like an awful lot like the grannies you see strolling through cemeteries.

How to sex up your wardrobe (at a sex shop)

2

I’m not normally in to sex shops, but what with everyone always wearing the same old shit I figured I’d go along to one to see what clothes-esque things I could pick up. It’s a double whammy anyway: people can’t copy my style and it’s going to massively improve my sex life.

The leather skirt above is where is all started – sex shop chic for just £24.99. By the way, the zip goes all the way down. I like that.

Kat and Sonia attempt an American Apparel ad

53

Actually, the title should be “Kat and Sonia attempt an American Apparel ad because they got way too drunk on cheap bubbly and the only thing they could come up with before going out in Paris was to throw on a body suit and sweater from American Apparel and take photos lying on the kitchen floor”. PS: This is also an introductory post to let you know that I’ve been forced to go to Paris for men’s fashion week, where I will be practicing my paparazzi skills when taking pictures at fashion parties that ban cameras, attempting to catch the Olsen twins making out with each other and trying out the champagne and vodka diet for four days straight. Should be fun. Check in for updates. Read more »

Looking slutty and pulling it off

Let’s face it, ladies, you can deny it all you want but when you go out you wouldn’t like to be mistaken for a frigid choir girl. Deep down inside you long to be that hot bitch that brings all the boys to the yard, although you would never risk compromising the image of the smart, sophisticated lady you are (or want to be, anyway). So what do you do? You dress sexy. Actually, you call it sexy, I call it slutty. Because, let’s be honest, that non-existent mini skirt and that see-through top you’re wearing are internationally popular hooker-wear. But you don’t have to work the streets to work the look. Let’s learn from a few ladies who manage to look slutty without looking cheap.

Style Tips: wardrobe essentials

Everyone should have a core of clothes they can wear any time with anything. Even Kate Moss does, if you believe this book! I tried to compile a list of key pieces we should all have. Of course, it is totally biased by my own taste, but I tried to remain objective.

Boy t-shirt

Pick a plain-coloured one. I like the American Apparel deep v-neck as round neck tees just don’t suit me. I generally try to choose mine in grey, black, white or a primary colour. Boys t-shirts are great to layer under a girly dress or create a colour block look when paired with a high-waisted skirt or trousers.
