E4’s Skins is returning soon. In celebration of this, I went along to ask the show’s costume designer, Edward Gibbon, how he feels the pretexts for Israel’s recent actions were laid by the infinitely less successful actions in Lebanon in 2006. Of course I didn’t, retards. I asked him about fashion. Edward is bombarded online with questions about who’s wearing what and where it’s from so I tried to get him to give me some insight into his choice of wardrobe for the cast.

A while ago we told you about a competition the people from E4’s Skins were running to find an exciting new costume designer for a web episode that will be made solely by unknowns. The brief was to come up with a costume design concept for either Juliette or Alex – new characters who will be played by unknown actors picked online.
There were some excellent entries (all of which can be viewed online), but the winning entry came from university student Joanna Lawes, whose girly, floral concept included the Louis Vuitton logo, bows, and enough pastel to last you all summer. Read more »
