Personally, I rate a fashion show based on how much free stuff I get, not what the clothes look like. I mean, fuck clothes. I want to be fed, pampered, doused in free booze, and to continually be told how stylish and amazing I am by people less cool than myself. Read more »

Fashion people are easily excited by pink
This year the fashion world has gone slightly too nuts about the fact that it is Barbie’s 50th birthday. Not least because Barbie is not a real human, but a brand of plastic doll which, in the face of Bratz, most twelve-year-old girls probably think is a lezza. Anyway, 50 designers (Vera Wang, Marchesa, Diane von Furstenberg) have been commissioned to design outfits inspired by the doll, which won’t be too much of a creative stretch considering Barbie is designed to look like a tall thin woman… But hey, these children’s toy people throw good parties and the one at Colette was amazing.
