As a 6-year-old, there was nothing I wanted more than a huge billowing ‘80s taffeta ballroom dancing dress (preferably in fuchsia or fluorescent green, with tonnes of sequins and feathers and junk). Naturally then, Arutyunov SA’s newest dress collection read like an updated childhood wet dream: a visual assault of bright colours, sequins, crushed nylon, gauze, feathers, and just general indulgence.

Allowing a little girl to wear heels is a good thing because it drastically reduces the risk of “16th-birthday runaway slut explosion” so often seen in children raised by conservative parents. We’re willing to bet that Belladonna’s Mormon parents forced her to wear nothing but smocks and chastity belts when she was a kid, and look at her now.

At least you don’t have to sit there staring at a skin art riddle going, “Does this mean he used to shoot people’s portraits but that career can go fuck itself OR he still does it and he is so fucking amazing it’s extreme OR traditional photography is over and it’s all about digital OR cameras are on fire?”
