If you know Julian Gilbert, you know that he looks like Perry Farrell and Freddie Mercury’s unholy love child and miraculously appears out of thin air at every event in NYC that’s worth attending. One thing you might not know about Julian is that he curates art shows and today he will be presenting a one-day-only show at Envoy Enterprises on Chrystie Street. It’s called It Is What It Is and you will attend because what else is there to do on a late-April Monday night? Watch Doogie Howser pretend he doesn’t enjoy giving men blow jobs on How I Met Your Mother? There will also be an afterparty at Home Sweet Home featuring Cerebral Ballzy and GATORS!

This may just be standard Urban Outfitters fare but these girls were cool and that changes everything. Like, we said to the Guinness girl (sigh — the Guinness girl), “All half breeds are hot, right?” and she looked around before carefully nodding, “Yes.” The we said to the Angela Davis girl in the back, “Girls can’t wear heels when they’re tall, right?” and she said, “Not often but sometimes you’re like, ‘Fuck this, I’m wearing heels’ and you just tower over all the shrimps.”
