CORPORATE SHILLING - SMIRNOFF VODKA IS GIVING AWAY “PARTY GRANTS”

The best part of getting a research grant in college is blowing all the money on a big party for your friends the day the check clears. The best part of getting a “party grant” is the same thing minus having to come up with 20,000 words about the Influence of Walter Benjamin on Thrash Revival Fanzines in the Early 90s six weeks later.
If right now you’re saying “There’s no such thing as a party grant, you doofs,” you are sorely mistaken (and rude). That vodka company Smirnoff is doing this thing where you can apply for $15,000 to throw a party, show, installation, gathering, shindig, wamdong, or art-thing of your own imagining. The reason we’re telling you about it here is because we want somebody funny and smart to get that money, not a kickball team or something. Go to their facebook page to apply. And make us proud.

vice as a corporate shill marketing to the hipsters, mocks the corporate shills yet exhorts their hipster cadre to "take advantage" of the corporate shills, yet somehow, this is all just corporate shilling since the end result is the same.
brilliant! absolutely brilliant!
i see that j-crew is starting to appropriate some of the american apparel chic.....wow.
hipsters, you know you are easily targeted when the hamptons/nantucket crowd wants to start dressing like you.
