AT THE DRIVE-IN WAS NOT A HARDCORE BAND

Far be it from us to tell you guys how punk works, but if douchebags in the pit piss you off so much, you might not want to introduce your band as Youth of Today.

Either way ATDI were extremely influential and kickass.

  6. Erik says:

after the first 30 seconds of antics, you can skip to the last 30 seconds of extreme close ups for those who haven’t watched it yet

if i go into a dive bar and they are playing ATDI; i feel like it’s an excuse to cry in my panties. they’re still the shit and you know it!

  11. fuckforever says:

AND omar rodriguez remains one of the sexiest men alive. mmmmmmmm

  12. wow says:

who the fuck started working for vice recently. Shane you better keep your douche bags on a leash over there.
ATDI was an amazing change to music at the time. Vice is a huge bias piece of crap recently. I think this is just one ass at vice who is responsible for all the crap finding its way on vice.I thought vice supported random talent. Its starting to feel like the whos got the biggest dick of the week game.

  13. wow says:

wait wait lets all go listen to the japanese motors cuz they surf and have a show on vice. That band is as dull as my day job.

  14. wow says:

JAMES TENAFLY: I found him….. minus 10 point. I rape ur opinion in my sleep.

  15. . says:

The only thing more hilarious than watching limp-wristed post-emo bitchboys work themselves into a tantrum in defense of Mars Volta is watching them do the same about ATDI. Are there any other contenders for most overrated band of late 90s hardcore? Maybe Orchid, but not really.

  16. snap! says:

At least Orchid had a sense of humor!

  17. hate this queer says:

nice jim morrison impression. really great. really really great.

  18. hate this queer says:

i didn’t feel like killing myself yet today. that’s totally out the window now

  19. fizzlebottom says:

it’s funny to read all the comments defending At The Drive In

  20. Jono says:

I won’t bash or defend ATDI. Though, I will say that the Mars Volta is the dumbest shit ever. How can you go from ATDI to pysch-mariachi ?

  21. Germán says:

    Psych mariachi? YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

  22. xavier says:

I had Bixlar’s dad as the professor for Chicano studies course at my university. He was very strange.

  23. fat says:

that band was never any good, right? huh?

  24. fat says:

anybody thinking they were some change in shit or shit was only listening to dull shit before they heard this stupid shit

  25. i enjoyed it says:

hey at least Vice was cool enough to run like 30 minutes of this show. I am enjoying this although every time i ever tried to listen to them bfore I lost interest quickly. Maybe they were meant to be experienced live.

  26. DOOOOM says:

I wish I could watch the dudes from Brujeria crush ATDI into powder and then snort them.

  27. thromeo says:

    great work, everyone.
not a single person mentions youth of today.
    a w e s o m e readership, vice magazine! ;P
