Moby’s the kind of guy who’s good at making inner peace sound kind of sad. Take, for instance, the title of one of his pretty songs off his most recent album, titled “Shot in the Back of the Head.” Jesus Krishna, Moby, that’s harsh, even if it does involve tasteful electronic snare. Today Motherboard heads deep into the bowels of his apartment-studio, where he unveils his prized assemblage of rarified gadgets, bizarre synthesizers, and outré drum devices.
