I’m sure you all know who Peter Surtherland is. He always has pictures in the magazine and has published lots of awesome books. Well, today you have the opportunity to attend an opening he’s having with his brother Andrew Sutherland at ATM gallery. It’s called Amateur Hour and I think you’d like it.
Peter and I recently went to Iceland to cover their Fashion Week for VBS and it turned out to be a giant disastrous scam concocted to extort money from burgeoning designers. Luckily we are not designers and the trip was totally free so we cut our losses on material and went on an Icelandic mushroom hunting journey. It was a truly weird experience filled with geysers, puffins, and thermal baths–that’s all I’ll say for now but Peter took lots of great photos, some of which will be on display tonight.
Other than that I don’t know what the photos will be, it’s a mystery, so come check it out. I was going to play some jazzy beats as is indicated by the flyer but unfortunately I’m trapped in Port-au-Prince in a haunted hotel trying to avoid demonic possession; thusly, music will be provided by Maggie Lee!
